Retail photography

If you're looking for a collection of striking images to promote your business we should be able to help as we do a fair bit of work in this area. Last week we did a two day shoot for Pets at Home - a large retail chain catering for the pet market - to feature in marketing and publicity material.

Their Manchester-based marketing agency, Red C, approached us because they wanted something a little more special than the usual run-of-the-mill PR shots. The brief was to provide a bank of outstanding images which they could use to promote their new stores, whilst making sure we captured the essence of their brand positioning.

Smile grumpy - you're on camera!

You'll be able to see more of this work on their website www.petsathome.co.uk but give it a while as we've only just supplied them with images!

Product photography (jewellery)

It's relatively easy to do standard packshot photography but if you want your photographs to have that extra pazzazz, you need a certain level of skill, experience and creative flair. We took these jewellery photographs this week for use in press advertising and PR. The brief was simple - make the jewellery look as striking, beautiful and desirable as possible. If you're looking for something similar to this, get in touch.

Spotlight portfolio

If you're an actor, model, singer or some other performing artist, you're probably used to building and updating your portfolio from time to time. At Triggers, we can do impactful headshot photography for spotlight requirements or even try something more edgy and urban should you want something more stylised.

The following images are from a recent shoot for Joanna who is an up and coming opera singer. It was a shame Joanna didn't sing for us as we always like to work to music during a shoot!

Special thanks to Ravi who is one of our preferred hair and make-up artists. We like working with Ravi as she's got heaps of experience, is a dab hand with the lippy and enjoys a good natter! You can check out more of her fabulous handy work by visiting her website http://www.ravimakeup.com

Brides Dress Revisited

Have you ever felt your wedding photos never quite hit the mark or perhaps felt the album was fabulous but just lacked a decent shot of you in your wedding dress?

Jenni got married some years ago in a civil wedding ceremony and has always regretted not having a decent photograph of her in a wedding dress. This wasn't out of vanity. It was more like a childhood dream which had never been fully realised.

So she approached us and booked the Platinum Portrait Package which is effectively a 3 hour session. This is the best option if you want a mix of formal photographs in the studio as well as some more natural ones on location. Before the session, we hired a professional make-up artist to bring out her best features. We even put some bubbly on ice just to get her relaxed and in the mood! In fact, the only thing we didn't do was invite the organist round!

It takes a brave woman to walk across Wandsworth Common in full wedding regalia without another wedding guest in sight but Jenni was a star and completely took it in her stride. In fact, you'd be forgiven for thinking she's done this all before!

If you're interested in booking a similar 'Shoot the dress' session please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Product photography (set build)

We get asked to photograph all sorts of products - jewellery, figurines, electronic devices... and last week, fireplaces! These particular fireplaces were wall-mounted or freestanding and designed for modern homes where no traditional fireplace exists.

The shoot took a day to photograph 8 different units including set build, styling, lighting set up and photography. That's pretty intense and we're not just talking about the heat coming from the fireplaces!

If you think these look hot and you're tempted to buy one yourself, check out their new website http://www.candelainteriors.com

Wedding (Stan & Claire)

We were delighted to be asked to photograph Claire and Stan's special day over the August Bank Holiday. We all met up earlier in the year over a drink to talk through their wedding plans and their photographic requirements. We always like to do this face-to-face if we can as it gives everyone the opportunity to get to know each other a little better. We followed this up with a photographic guide which outlines everyone's contact details, the logistics, itinerary and a photographic checklist of the key shots they wanted us to take throughout the day. It's important to have these things buttoned down as you don't want any nasty surprises on the day!

Stan & Claire are a fantastic couple - so relaxed, fun and down-to-earth. We knew they would be naturals in front of the camera. Here's a very small collection from the day.
